Under the Liberal Democrats, more than £4m will be pumped into West Berkshire's schools to give a fair chance to every West Berkshire child.
The Liberal Democrat manifesto 2010, launched this morning, pledges an investment of £2.5 billion in Britain's schools, and West Berkshire's share will be £4,029,256.
"It's a disgrace that the Conservatives in West Berkshire have allowed so many of West Berkshire's schools to slide into Special Measures," said Mr Rendel, speaking after the launch of the Liberal Democrat manifesto this morning.
"There are six West Berkshire schools in Special Measures at the moment, and I won't let this unforgivable situation continue", he went on. "The Liberal Democrats will invest over £4m in West Berkshire's schools to cut class sizes and ensure that every child gets the individual attention they need."
