BRIDLEWAY BRIDGE PETITION TO BE PRESENTED TO PARLIAMENT

12.01.00am UTC (GMT +0000) Wed 17th Nov 2004

The House of Commons is expected this evening (Tuesday) to hear a petition presented by David Rendel MP on behalf of constituents who are concerned about the decision of the Highways Agency not to paint the Bridleway Bridge over the A34 and Oxford Road.

Commenting Mr Rendel said:

"I have been approached by a group of local residents who believe that the Bridge should be painted or at least clad, so that it is less of an eyesore.

"I hope that the Secretary of State will take note of their concerns."
