FRIENDS OF THE EARTH ENDORSEMENT FOR DAVID RENDEL

David Rendel is the green "candidate of choice", according to Newbury Friends of the Earth who today announced their endorsement of the Liberal Democrat candidate.

"David has an outstanding record of working for our environment and animal welfare", said Adrian Foster Fletcher, Chair of Newbury Friends of the Earth.

"If residents want an MP who works hard on green issues, then David Rendel is the candidate to vote for."

Commenting, David Rendel said:

"I am delighted to receive this endorsement. Friends of the Earth do wonderful work both locally and nationally, and their backing means a great deal.

"Liberal Democrats place the environment at the heart of all our policies and we are committed to much stronger legislation to promote animal welfare."
